HARA eBOOK - STEPS TO RESTORED HARA: THE ABDOMINAL HEART, COMING SOON
Welcome,
Coming this week - my long touted ebook of practical exercises to cultivate Hara breathing.
Detailed descriptions & diagrams will be provided with the 25 of so special “exercises”. I prefer the word postures, but it doesn’t matter.
A quick word on motivations.
I have been fortunate in my associations with various teachers over the years and lucky to have been able to have time to work and practice. The work has then been integrated into my life slightly differently from most, in my own way. My character is such that I moved from teacher to teacher, incorporating what I could.
I am therefore not a promoter of dogmas and have worked hard to distill things into the most primordial form.
The notion of “why?” is a simple one; I would like to pay it back.
I am concerned primarily with assisting young men. Some young men are potentially powerful. Therefore, "the system" is very much rigged against them. In my opinion, and I don't make this statement lightly, the system devised by the powerful over the last 150 years or so is primarily aimed at destroying young men's ambitions. And any impulse and purpose they share to create something new.
The work included in the upcoming ebook "Steps to Restored Hara" has this goal in mind, but it is not just this.
If faithfully practiced, the work provided could take many years to become proficient at. Yet it will pay dividends to all those who choose to do it. Your entire view of life can be changed as you decide to discard more and more dead weight. A bit like going to the gym and eating well. You become lighter, reality changes, or certainly appears to.
Finally, I will continue to publish further articles through substack, primarily providing practical exercises, technical instructions, and clarifications if required. Overall, this blog is designed to change your essential posturing towards and perhaps in life. I will also provide periodic updates on podcast guests and projects I'm involved in on the side.
Rest assured, I hold no real opinions, firmly at least, and very few preferences. Not only that, I'm consistently woking at discarding them and my ridiculous arguments against being, being being. Granted, almost everyone finds this trait very, very annoying. "My opinions" are the order of the day these days.
On the upside, there will be very little blabbering here for this reason. Other than this introduction, perhaps. And indeed, no politics. If you want politics, you know where to find it.
Nor will this really be aimed at giving you a sugar rush making you feel tingly for a few minutes. I take the Tyler Durden approach. I believe in self-destruction as the path to redemption. Forget about the performance of ictu officium on your fragile self-dom. Expectations of statements that you're on the "right side of history," or that you were "born unique," or that your biological makeup automatically makes you "superior or special" in some way. This is always just a cope. And then, of course, one demands money for these unique "esoteric" insights.
For real transcendence, I've come to understand that one needs to make realistic appraisals of oneself for the work to work.
My most transformative experiences occurred when a teacher or other completely decimated me. My view of what I thought I was. The narratives are broken in such transformative moments. For these harsh words, I am eternally grateful.
Ultimately, it all comes down to you. Suppose you want someone to tell you you're absolutely terrific. And unique and special. Rather like the female-type self-help groups, many of us disparage with no small helping of irony. In that case, you know where to find it. Buy some orgonite. Keep seeking.
This will be a no-nonsense masculine space. Like the Buddhist sangha of old. Or the Ancient Greek gymnasium. Focused on what is tangible. Results. All else is folly. For serious people with serious aims that are sick of their condition and are happy to acknowledge they could probably have a better more enlightened life. I use that word holding my nose, given the baggage associated with it.
This will require work, making mistakes, and keeping the self and its spontaneously arising compulsions in check.
This is a place where I can do my bit to assist you in living a happier life. Without the "non-sense" that is so often proliferated in whatever you want to call these circles of interaction. And hopefully, if a community develops, I look forward to learning from you.
Please subscribe here for the final link to the book, to be sent in the coming week.
Welcome aboard, chaps.
